Teresa Ann Wood

Teresa Ann (Welday) Wood Terri passed away peacefully Saturday, February 18, 2017, surrounded by her family. She fought a long, difficult battle with cancer. Born in Lyons, KS on October 8, 1949 to Lynn and Doris Welday, who preceded her in death. Terri graduated from Southeast High School in 1967. She married Mike Wood and was just short of their 50th anniversary in May. Terri was a terrific wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Her family was most important to her. She had many interests; she loved to read, cook, and listened to all kinds of music. She loved games, puzzles, and enjoyed painting. She always put others needs before her own. Over the last several years, she developed a keen interest in politics and kept up-to-date on social and world affairs. She will be greatly missed. She leaves behind her husband, Mike; brother, Tony (Karen) Hartle of Austin, TX; sister, Lynette; daughters, Wendy (Jason) Gardner, Kammy Wood, Kelly Wood; grandchildren, Heidi Runyan, Corbin and Emma Gardner. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ClearPath Hospice of Wichita, 818 N. Emporia #317, Wichita, KS 67214; and Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Per Terris wishes, there will be no service, but there will be a reception with family. All friends and family are welcome at the Wood Residence, 413 E. Prairie Point Cir., Andover, KS 67202 (in Flint Hills National) on Friday, February 24, 2017, between 2:00 6:00 P.M. (DIRECTIONS: mile south of Pawnee on Andover Road.
