It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa L. McGreevy, 64, on Thursday, May 15th, 2025. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished nana, dear friend and true warrior. Her life was a testament to family. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Morris (Bob) and mother, Cherryl (Reed) Whitney. She is survived by her beloved husband John, children, Kari (Kelly), Jordan (Amanda), Brendan, Megan (Curtis), as well as her brothers, Robert (Charolette), Steven (Jill), and Timothy (Janene) Whitney and six treasured grandchildren and one precious great grandchild all of Wichita. Teresa and John are parishioners of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville, Texas. Teresa’s greatest love was her family. She found immense joy in supporting those closest to her and doting on her grandchildren. She was never one to miss out on her children or grandchildren’s events, big or small to cheer them on and offer her loving support. Beyond her home, Teresa had a spirit for traveling the world, appreciating new cultures, cuisines, and experiences. Her bags were always packed and ready whenever any called with a travel invite. Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life so beautifully lived. Please join us for a Rosary at 7:30pm on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, and Funeral service on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at 10:00 am, both at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2801 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67217. 1. I’ve know Teresa since high school and actually introduced her to my older brother, hence our journey of friendship began. She was always smiling, strong headed but yet put everyone above herself. She loved to cook exquisite meals which made it difficult to assist in her precise preparation. I became the clean up person which I was grateful in doing. We shared several trips together ie: Santa Fe and St. Lucia. There was never a dull moment. I was looking forward to many trips with her and John but that came to an end. She gave all her love to her husband, children. Grandchildren and great granddaughter. There were no stops in her enormous heart that she wouldn’t do for others. I will miss our phone calls, conversations and leaning ears . Rest and peace my friend and welcome home.

  2. We will always remember Teresa for being about life and making the party comfortable for all those invited. No finer memory of this than the awesome party she had for John when he turned 50 in Lubbock. Rest in Peace Teresa you will be missed.

  3. Life is about memories and so many good memories through the years, Rest in Peace Teresa – you are home.Jim & Liz

  4. One of my favorite memories of Aunt Teresa is from a week long visit to Texas the summer before my freshman year of high school. From taking us out shopping, spending a day at the pool, and even making my favorite dessert TWICE, Aunt Teresa had a beautiful gift for making a person feel special, comfortable, and loved!! Love you Aunt Teresa, may you rest in the peace of Christ.

  5. I´m so sorry for your loss! I was in Teresa´s high school class at Bishop Carroll. I remember her as a sweet and happy person. I also live in Keller and go to Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville, TX. I´m so sorry that I didn´t have a chance to reconnect with her. We have been part of the parish for 26 years. If there is anything I can do to help your family please let me know. You can email me or find me in church directory. I sing in 11am choir and my husband ushers. Will you have anything at GSCC? May she rest in peace and your family comforted at this difficult time! May Christ perpetuate light shine upon her! Rhonda

  6. Teresa was such a wonderful person to be around! Always so much laughter and joy, and really treated us like family! My heart goes out to the McGreevy Family. Love you guys!

  7. My name is Beverly (Rosell) Ledoux. I, too, live in Texas and since 1982. I was in Teresa’s class at Bishop Carroll, but for family reasons left the Summer before our senior year to move out to California and from there …. My heart extends out to Teresa’s family and although we never really knew each other or hung out with each other in high school, we are all a family in heart and soul. R.I.P. Teresa and prayers to your beautiful family!❤️!!
