Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Dear Bobbie – I was saddened to read about your Mom, Thais. I remember reading about your folks wedding aniversary in the Wchita paper several years ago and thinking ‘How wonderful’. Sure you don’t remember me, but I grew up in Fredonia and lived right across the street from Thelma and Cecil Carr for my first 5-6 years. Always looked up to Connie and Don as they were high schoolers and college students! I think if I looked hard enough in our old family pictures, I’d find a picture of you and Connie standing in front of their Spirea bushes out front. One of the reasons I’m writing is to let you know how often the memories of your grandparents, Mariona and Bernice, come to mind when I think of growing up in Fredonia. I can still hear your granddad’s voice while walking with him as he wheeled down to his shop at the back of their yard and the smells of the wood there. Your grandmom was such a beautiful Lady and always so kind. I have receipes of hers in my Mom’s old cook book. I do remember your Mom, but the memories of her parents stand. God be with you and your families as your Mom reunites with your Dad and her wonderful parents.
With my condolences, love, thoughts & prayers to the entire extended family. I’ve always thought of Thais as a Great Aunt, though truly my Dad’s first cousin. I’m grateful to have been able to visit both Thais & Bob when I traveled to Wichita State University several years back – Only the fondest memories, I am remembering her on this day, and always. Peace & Love to you all – Wiley (Don Carr’s youngest)
Dear Aunt Thais, We will miss you greatly. You are a special person. I will miss your home made apple pies. Visiting your home was always such a special treat during our Kansas visits. We wish we could be there tuesday for the services – you are in our minds and our hearts. We love you, Loreen and David Bergman
