Thomas M. Warren ~ It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing from this world to the eternal of our beloved Tom on Thursday, October 24, 2019. After a courageous battle with cancer, he succumbed to the affects of this cruel disease. He was 67. Tom was born and raised in Wichita, spending a year at St. Benedict’s in Atchison before returning to WSU to complete his degree in Spanish. He spent nearly 30 years at Boeing working as both a parts manufacturer and estimator for military airplane modification. After retirement from Boeing, Tom worked for Center Industries as an estimator. Never one to rest, Tom founded a successful chimney sweeping business that continues to this day. He was a loving husband, father and son, as well as a gifted athlete, poet, and gardener. His love of music and cinema has been passed along to many. He lived a selfless life with quiet dignity and grace. His Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Preceded in death by father, William; brothers, Stephen and Bob. Survived by his wife, Jane Warren of Andover, KS; son, Philip (Stephanie) Warren of Wichita, KS; daughter, Margaret (James) Wagle of Wichita, KS; mother, Mary Warren; grandchildren, William, Luke, Thomas, Ian, Isaac and soon to be Matthew Thomas; siblings, Fran (Jim) Risch of Muskogee, OK, Therese (Dan) Allen of Augusta, KS; sister-in-law, Ramona Warren of Tacoma, WA; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials have been established with Victory In The Valley, 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218 and Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, P.O. Box 55071 #15530, Boston, MA 02205-5071.
I’ll never forget your voice. You could always put a smile on someone’s face. I’m glad to have known you.
May fond memories fill your hearts with love and comfort as well as bring you and your family peace. The universe has received a beautiful new star. It was a privilege and honor working with someone as genuine and kind as Tom. With a sad heart, please accept my sincerest condolences.
