Tim Armstrong, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, died Friday, April 29, 2022. Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd George and Minnie Mable Armstrong; brother, Brad Armstrong. Survived by his wife, Connie M. Armstrong; son, Kurt (Sherri) Armstrong; daughters, Melissa (Damon) Puetz, Penny (Jack) Feist, Megan Armstrong; grandchildren, Braedon, Kyler, Zac, Bret, Mariah, Haley, Callie, Katelyn, Jenna, Owen, Presley, Jack; brother, Bruce (Susan) Armstrong; sister, Linda Armstrong; great grandchildren, Jason, Gracelynn, Chyanne, Leland. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Golf Wichita, City of Wichita-Golf, c/o Shana Appelhanz, 455 N. Main St., 11th Floor, Park, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

Tim was a member of my 6th grade classroom. I remember him as a very bright boy and an excellent leader of the other students, especially the boys. He always was the unofficial leader on the playground, especially in the softball games. I recall once when the other students wanted me to schedule a meeting of all the boys in my classroom. During that meeting, they chose another boy as the captain of their team. Tim never objected but soon he was running the team again. It was his quiet, leadership style.
Tim was a great guy. We played a lot of “pickup basketball “ together in the late 70s and 80s. Always had a great attitude! Prayers for Tim’s family.
