Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I worked with Tim at Avco Financial (later became Textron) for a few years a long time ago. Tim is one of those people you never forget. He was always smiling and had a great laugh. My husband Brian and I enjoyed a few good \’Trivial Pursuit\’ evenings with a great group of friends including Tim and Mary. We always had fun. Our thoughts are with Mary and family at this time.
I was very sad to hear of Tim’s passing. I worked with him at Textron Financial, and enjoyed time outside of work when a group of us (including Mary)would get together and share a few laughs! I still remember his great laugh and sense of humor!
I worked with Tim in the 80’s and he took me under his wing when I moved into the Credit Department. He taught me many things about Credit and much more about Kindness and laughter. I will never forget his laugh and his sense of humor. He was a true friend and mentor. He will certainly be missed by all that knew him.
I worked with Tim at CFC for as long as I can remember (which isn’t really very long at all), 20 years. Tim was THE CREDIT GUY at CFC. No one knew more about credit than Tim. He could tell a credit was going to be good or bad within minutes. Some of the sales professionals would refer to Tim as the sales prevention department. He loved it! I moved into international credit 5 years ago, and that is when I really got to work closely with Tim. Tim was always willing to help me with whatever came up. And talk about an interesting sense of humor. It took me a while to figure it out, but he was one funny guy. I truly enjoyed just visiting with him. After he retired, we would talk every few weeks on the phone. I enjoyed those talks very much. One time we hadnt talked for four weeks, so I called Tim up. Near the end of the conversation he says ‘Well, my old friend is back.’ His old friend was cancer. That is how Tim looked at things. He never complained, he just accepted and moved on. I will miss my talks with Tim, but am thankful that his silent suffering is through. Cancer stole another great soul from us, but we have our memories, and cancer cant take that. Love ya Tim!
I have known Tim since the mid 70’s when we both worked at Commercial Credit/McCullagh Leasing, Inc. We only knew each other over the phone until we met at some company business meetings. When we met in person, we really clicked with one another. I moved out to Southern California in 1980 and once I got settled, Tim and I met for some adult beverages and our friendship grew closer. We would always make it a point to talk with one another on the phone or get together with friends after work to shoot the breeze. I remember those times fondly. We eventually ended up working together at Textron Financial Corporation and Tim was a welcome addition to our credit staff and operation. Tim was down to earth and got along with everyone in the group and he had a wry sense of humor. We wore suits back in those days at work and I always remember that every Friday, Tim would wear a brown tie without fail on those days. In addition to being a good work partner, I enjoyed many fun outings of Trivial Pursuit & The Orange Street Fair at he and Mary’s house in Orange with friends. Those were always great times and I am glad that I was able to be part of them with Tim and his family. Tim was a good friend and we kept in contact after he and his family moved to Wichita to work for Cessna. I visited Tim and Mary on the way back from Minneapolis on a driving vacation and the hospitality was great. I will miss Tim but will treasure all the good times & laughs that I was fortunate enough to have with him. I feel blessed that our paths crossed and we were good friends.
Tim was a lovely man. I worked with him for 5 years during the eighties. I was new to the field and he was a great help to me. Tim was always generous with his time, expertise, and knowledge. He will be greatly missed by all
Tim was a ‘gentle giant’; measured, kind, and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His ready sense of humor and endearing cackle drew everyone to him. I worked with him in the 1980’s and was blessed to call he and his wife, Mary my friends. His departure leaves a huge void but the memories of him we will have for a lifetime!!!
I have known Tim for 12 years, when he moved to Wichita and began to work for Cessna Finance Corporation. I worked for Tim a number of years and truly cherished his friendship. Tim was a wonderful person, quick with humor and more than willing to help others. I can recall numerous conversations where Tim spoke proudly of his family. Wichita might not have been the spot Tim wanted to move to, but we are certainly glad he did. I always chuckled listening to Tim tell about the ‘ice storm’ when you first moved to Wichita. May you take comfort in knowing that Tim was an outstanding individual. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
