Tommy Ray Tom Hayden, Sr.

Tommy Ray “Tom” Hayden, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Villa Maria Long Term Care in Mulvane, Kansas. Celebration of Life Service, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Cremation has taken place. Tom was born October 17, 1935, in Oswego, Kansas, son to Ralph and Mabel Hayden. He attended Labette County High School. After graduation he moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked as a machinist with Cessna Aircraft and Beechcraft. He retired in 2003 after working for Beechcraft for 40 years. Tom married Elnora Cormeny on September 23, 1967, in Oswego, Kansas. She preceded him in death in 2017 after 50 years of marriage. Tom is survived by his son, Tommy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Connie Roach (David) and Mary Williamson (Jeff) all of Wichita; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and brother, Harley Hayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mabel; sister, Jean Nickel and beloved wife, Elnora. Visitation with the family will follow the service. There will be no graveside service.
