Tony Soliz, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Viewing, beginning at 8:00 a.m.; Rosary, 7:00 p.m., both Friday, April 16, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Graveside Service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17, at Calvary Cemetery. Tony was a retired mechanic and First Sergeant in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by parents, Juan and Ylaria Soliz, and brother, Manuel Soliz. Survivors: wife, Michelle; children, Tracy (Brian) Richardson, Dawn (Carl) Soliz, Jimmie (Paula) Soliz, Tino (Chelsey) Soliz; stepson, Ryan James; sister, Phyllis (Bob) Ornales; grandchildren, Nikki Soliz, Wesley and Matthew Killian, Jordan (Brenna), Mariah, Tyler, Trevor, Tino Jr., Isabella, Anthony, Lily Sue and Ava Rose Soliz, Logan and Carter James; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Donavan Calhoun, Malani Hunter, Kyler Burkhead and Sophia Soliz. In lieu of flowers, memorial established with American Diabetes Association, 608 W. Douglas, S-100, Wichita, KS 67203 and American Heart Association, 1861 N. Rock Rd., #380, Wichita, KS 67206.

Love you Tony… Had a cookout after I got married, he pulled me to the side and kissed me on the cheek and said since your grandfather isn’t here, he sent me here to give you this kiss. He knew what I needed at that moment and that is a memory I will forever carry in my heart.
