troy barragree
Troy James Barragree passed away on December 8, 2022, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 62. Troy was born September 1, 1960, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to James and Noreta Barragree. After graduating from Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas, Troy attended Wichita State University where he studied computer science. After a few years he decided to venture out west to Arizona where he met his bride of 32 years, Stacy (McDonald) Barragree. After a small wedding on the beach in San Diego, Troy and Stacy grew their family and dedicated much of their time to parenting. Troy has 3 sons, Corey, Conner and Karsten and a daughter, Kamille. In addition to leading a beautiful family, Troy was a dedicated businessman and day trader. He opened two Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores which operated successfully for over 15 years in the Wichita area. Outside of work, you could always find Troy in the kitchen cooking dinner for the family. His chili, pizza, and catfish were household favorites as he was a talented and natural chef. Dogs: Ralph, Marty and Bear never left Troy’s side, and were always there to clean any scraps off the floor. He also enjoyed cheering on his children in sports and academics, including their successes of college graduations, job promotions, and becoming a proud grandfather to Mason James, whom he shared a special bond with. Troy’s passion was being a dedicated husband and father to his four children and two dogs. He will forever leave love in our hearts and our bellies. His big laugh, love for his grandmother “B”, wife, parents, brother and his giving spirit will be missed. Troy was preceded in death by his grandmother “B” Flora. Troy was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend who is survived by his father and mother, James and Noreta; wife Stacy; brother Reid; four children, Corey, Conner & his wife (Cassandra), Karsten & his wife (Mallory), and Kamille, along with grandson Mason James, and sweet dog Marty.
