Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
To Joan,Vonnie and Nancy, it was great having your mom in Kansas City this past 12 months, I got to know and love her even more than the last 47 years that I knew her. I will miss her very much, and I know you all will to. I love you all and I am sorry for your loss. Chuck
Paul and Velma retired from farming. Worked as custodian for a school district in Elkhart. Then after our Mother passed away they moved to Clay Center to be near our Dad. As a son, I was greatful they were willing to assume this responsibility. Velma and Paul were my best friends. My goodness we will all miss them. I am a grown man but I cried, unashamedly when I was told Velma was called to be with the Lorde.
To Mom,MedicalLodge,Nancy,Vonnie,Chuck: What a great mom you have been these many years! Knowing how much you hated moving around, you were gracious to allow us to move you to K.C. for your last year of this earthly life. You blessed many hearts at MedicalLodge. MedicalLodge staff, I must salute you! Never before have I been in such a clean loving and serene atmosphere! Each one of you there contributed to Mom’s comfort and happiness. Thank you more than I can say for the serenity you provided Mom for the past year. Thank you for the tremendous amount of support and care you gave to the family as well! God bless each one of you! To my sister,Nancy: I know it was hard for you to let Mom go to K.C. May the Lord bless you for your sharing, caring heart! To Vonnie: Your support via AT&T whenever I was feeling down was a life-saver! Thank you for being there with such cheerful positive support! To Chuck: Thank you for supporting me during my numerous hours at MedicalLodge, for loving me even when I was feeling and acting very unlovable, and for catering all those meals to me (and then to my sisters as well)while we stayed with Mom. You are a superb cook as well as a precious treasure to me.
