Vicki Wertz, 69, Beechcraft Aircraft Company Import/Export Specialist, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Memorial Service, 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Eleanor Schumacher; husband, David Wertz; brothers, Jerry and Jim Schumacher. Survivors: son, Justin (Paula) Wertz; grandchildren, Riley, Zach and Reese Wertz; brother, Eldon (Mary Jo) Schumacher.

What fun we had. From the trips to the lake to all the basketball games, to just hanging out shooting pool or throwing darts. You were a dear friend and will be truly missed. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Love you Jeanie and Rick Brotherton
Vicki, my bestie BEST friend since 1972. We had some great times, sharing lives with David and Dan (who are now both gone), camping in Missouri with the four of us, a two-man pup tent in a torrential rain storm, after rowing on the river all day, playing cards until all hours of the night every weekend, helping us to build the dome house, sharing sista secrets that we ‘pinkied sweared’ on, and just having fun shopping in KS every Thanksgiving holiday. I am happy that you are now comfortable as you put up a good fight … and you were winning. So sorry that with Covid, I could not come to visit you. We will meet again, lady luck, and continue our friendship, adventures, and secrets. Love you so much.
