Victor "Vic" W. Pickering

Victor "Vic" W. Pickering, 92, City of Wichita Sewer Department Superintendent, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021. No services. Vic’s hobby was model airplanes, including flying them. He and his wife, Mercedes, loved traveling to Canada and Arizona, and he enjoyed retirement and being at home with his granddaughter and family. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Hazel Haskell; wife, Mercedes, and son, Wayne. Survivors: granddaughter, Ashley Winter of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Brielle Michels and Adaline Winter; daughter-in-law, Lisa Perry; sister, Shirley Hendricks; nieces, Shaundra Ross and Deaunna Hart. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
