Virginia Louise Lassley

Lassley, Virginia Louise, 81, of Wichita, KS, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Service 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Hillside Christian Church. Virginia was born November 29, 1923 In Wichita, KS to William F. and Emma H. Porter. She graduated from East High School in 1941 and worked for Boeing during World War II and for the Santa Fe Railroad. She married Wilbur O. “Bud” Lassley in 1946 who predeceased her in June 1992. Virginia began her career as a real estate salesperson with Don Dinning Realtors in 1960 and then spent her last twenty years in real estate with Evelyn Anderson Realtors. She was and avid golfer for thirty years, playing mostly at MacDonald, Clapp and Echo Hills golf courses. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church. Virginia is survived by her son, Thomas C. Lassley of Wichita, son and daughter-in-law, Brian E. and Norma Lassley of Laveen AZ; grandchildren, Laurie D. Lassley of Columbus, OH, Todd M. Lassley and David C. Lassley, both of Wichita, Roman Ontiveros and Brandon J. Lassley both of Laveen, AZ; sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. Billie J. and Arthur Mathias of Grove, OK. She is also survived by her friend and dancing partner, Harley Robinson of Wichita. A memorial has been established with Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67206. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
