Vivian Boo Brock

Vivian (Jochems) “Boo” Brock, 72, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was always full of life and loved her family dearly. She was blessed to have four beautiful granddaughters, and recently celebrated 51 years of marriage with her high school sweetheart, John. She was a wonderful mother. During her childrens school years, she was the “cool mom” that all the kids loved at school and in the neighborhood. She cherished the relationships with all of their friends, and was always a big kid at heart. She loved Mick & The Stones, but ultimately it was John she couldnt live without. He passed recently, and she followed suit soon after. Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Paul and Jean Jochems; husband, John Thomas Brock, III. Survived by her children, Michelle (Chris) Opheim, John “Jack” Thomas (Shelby) Brock IV; siblings, Louise (Robert) Brock, Rita (Joe) Allessie, Elizabeth (Jim) Barnes, Leonard (Charissa) Jochems, Theodore (Mina) Jochems, Gregory (Mindy) Jochems; Granddaughters, Jacklynn (Kyle) Johnson, Frances Opheim, Ashlynn Brock, Katelynn Brock. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Sedgwick County Zoo, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd., Wichita, KS 67212.
