Dale is somewhat responsible for the path my life has taken since his moving into Administration at Friends University opened up a math faculty position which I took almost 25 years ago. Back then I was just finishing graduate school and had no idea what to do next. The job offer to teach at Friends meant a move to a new state for me, where I later met and married a great guy and had two sons. I still have a few of Dale’s old things in my office at Friends. One of my files has some of his old exams; I didn’t really know how to write an exam back in the day and used his as a guide. I’m sorry to hear of his passing and have some fond memories of his presence at faculty meetings. Brenda (Moyer) Smith

Jeanette, I’m sorry for your loss. Dale was a great teacher and friend for many years. We are thinking of you at this time. We will be out of state this weekend and will not be able to attend his service. We wish you and the family the best. David and Kathy Pauls
