Cheyney, Wade “Scooter”, 77, retired Boeing buyer, died Friday, April 21, 2006. Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at East Heights United Methodist Church. Mr. Cheyney was a veteran in the US Army, was involved with Harley-Davidson Motorcycle ABATE, volunteered with the Sedgwick County Sheriffs office, was a member at East Heights United Methodist Church, as were his parents, and was active with show cars across the state. Survivors include sons daughters-in-law, Terry Mary, of Overland Park, KS, and Ronald Regina, of Longmont, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell Yoshie, of Park Forest, IL; grandchildren, Nicole Telgenhoff, Orval, Brandon, Brooke, Lisa Cheyney; seven great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with East Heights United Methodist church 4407 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67218. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

Scooter is an amazing person. We went to Celebrate Saturday Night at East Heights with him for many years. Scooter always shared his heart for God with others through his contagious smile, his gentle spirit, and his prayer requests. What a good man and a huge loss for this world. Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers for many months to come.
