Charlotte and family – Kitchel and I both have such wonderful memories of Walt. He always seemed so glad to see us, but then he reacted to everyone that way and that was part of his great charm and warmth. The Lindsley family’s connection with the Trombolds all the way back to the Campfire days and the more recent times shared with Walt in Rotary are so special to us. We will always think of the twinkle in his eye, that camera around his neck and the affectionate geeting he never failed to ex- tend. What a wonderfully long, well-lived life to celebrate and what a rich legacy he left his family and all of us.
I have known Mr. Trombold since I was a little girl. My dad adored him, he considered him one of his best friends. He will be missed. He was such a good man.
I try not to have favorite patients at the Wichita Nephrology Clinic but Walter was one of my most favorite patients. Everytime he came in I learned something new. He spoke with such pride about all of his children but the love and respect he spoke of his wife, Charlotte, was quite touching. Walter touched alot of lives and mine was one of them. I thank him for the smiles he put on my face. He will be missed and remembered.
