  1. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May your many wonderful memories of Wendell comfort you during this difficult time.

  2. Uncle Wendell was so easy-going and friendly–I really enjoyed being in his presence. He will really be missed by his family and I wish them all the best.

  3. I have been blessed to have such kind men in my family. Even though Uncle Wendell enjoyed a wonderful life of 89 years, you feel an emptiness knowing he is gone. I will always remember his beautiful voice at dad’s funeral. He was standing in the pew behind me…I just stopped my singing and listened to his voice. It was a wonderful blessing for me, I felt such peace… we are a blessed family. my prayers are with all of you.

  4. Parks family As a structural engineer in ICT for 40 years , I had the opportunity to work with Wendell Jr many times while enjoying his dry sense of humor from their office on east Douglas. I remember going into the back room on the north side one of the first times and seeing the crew, including Wendell Sr, with drafting aprons on, visors on their heads and drafting powder on all the drawings to help keep smudges down; A real step back in time. The largest project I helped with was the St. Francis Hospital main South Addition which consumed about 3 years of my life and probably more of his. Always striving for near perfection, Wendell always went the extra mile to make a project worthy. May our great and awesome God provide comfort and peace to you all. Jim Jantz, Firestone, CO

  5. Dear Pat and family, Tom and are saddened by your loss. Wendell will be missed greatly by all who were lucky to have known him. He was a kind soul and his smile could light up a room! and his hugs were among the best. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers in this time of sadness. In Love and peace, Tom and Jeanne Thompson

  6. Dear Park’s family, I’m so sorry for your loss. My name is Dale Maltbie and Wendell was one of my favorite architects. I met him in the mid 1970’s. I worked for PEC and I was helping with the various St. Francis Hospital projects as mechanical engineer. There were multiple buildings : Energy Center, Data Center, extensive tunnel system and Main South Tower. These were Hugh, complicated, complex projects with lots of stress. Wendell was the leader of the design team and coordinator with the Hospital. Wendell was also head of the Architectural firm: Parks, Perkins and Parks. In all my various meetings and associations with Wendell, I never once heard him lose his temper or say a foul word. He was always cheerful and upbeat. I developed great respect for him and his character. The office description provided by Jim Jantz is quite accurate and brings back many memories of both Wendell and Jim. Wendell used to sign his handwritten notes or messages with : WP II. May your memories of a wonderful person provide you with comfort. God Bless. Rest In Peace WP II.

  7. Dear Aunt Pat and family, We wish to extend our sincerest condolences. Know that we will be thinking of you all during this difficult time. I have many great memories of a truly wonderful, funny, and very special man. I will miss my Uncle Wendell.
