Willa Mae Borger

Willa Mae (nee Nida) Borger beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, singer, friend and lover of nature, born October 14, 1923 in Kiowa, Kansas, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016. Services are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at First United Methodist Church Wichita. Willa Mae graduated from Kiowa High School, where she excelled in music as both a singer and pianist. She was active at First Methodist Wichita where she met and married Rev. Clarence Borger, her husband for sixty-six years. Always at the center of her life, Willa Mae dearly loved her family. She is survived by her two sons, William Joseph of St. Louis, and James Thomas of Andover; their wives, Lori and Shari; three grandchildren, Brianna, Thomas and Alec; and one great-grandson, Ian. The family thanks Comfort Care Homes, Veranda Senior Living and Rivercross Hospice for their compassionate care.
