William A. Bell

William A. "Bill" Bell, 94, died Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born on December 23, 1929, in Leavenworth, KS to Hugh and Sadie (McCune) Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd M. Bell and Hugh Bell Jr.; first wife, Maureen (Young) Bell. Survived by his wife, Patricia A. Bell of Wichita, KS; daughter, Marsha H. (Nick) Frisch of Bremerton, WA; two sons, Brian A. (Gina) Bell of McPherson, KS, Sean M. (Christina) Bell of Novato, CA; three step-children; eleven grandchildren and step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
Bill graduated from Wichita University in 1954, with a BS degree and was a member of the Pi Alpha Pi Fraternity. He served in the Army during the Korean war and was stationed in Germany. While in college, he worked part-time at Walter Morris & Sons Real Estate firm, and upon returning from Germany, rejoined work at Walter Morris & Sons retiring in 2000 as Managing Broker after 46 years. Bill was a long-time member of the Wichita Downtown Lions Club, a member of Toastmaster Club, a member of Shrine Midian Ambassadors and Prophet Investment Club.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: United Way of the Plains, 245 N. Water St., Wichita, KS 67202. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
Rest William, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service to this nation. U.S. Army.
