William A. Cline
The Rainbow Bridge had the most beautiful reunion on May 22, 2020, because William died peacefully in his sleep at home, at the age of 82, following a brave battle with metastatic lung cancer. “Bill”, a retired truck driver, was a loyal and loving man to all that knew him, especially to his family and his furbabies. He was born December 14, 1936, in Codell, KS. Bill grew up in Portis, KS, where he met the love of his life, Donna, his wife of 63 years. Bill was a 32-degree Mason, avid hunter, Farmall tractor restorer/collector, and Renaissance man who could do anything he set his mind to. Preceded in death by his father, Charles Cline; brother, John Cline, and sister, VG Mills. Survived by his beloved wife, Donna, for only a matter of weeks after his death; daughters, Carolyn Corbett and Annette Cline; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Neifert (Linda) and Roger Neifert (Pat); grandsons, Nicholas Miller (Jessica) and Nathan Miller; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; dog, Haddie, and horse, Lucky. The world will not be the same without Bill in it. Memorial service, 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. In lieu of flowers, memorials established with Grace Brethren Church, 108 E. 5th St., Portis, KS 67474; Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N.
