Fidler, William Alden “Bill”, 81, retired independent oil producer, passed away in the Lords care, Saturday, April 3, 2010. Memorial service, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 10, Trinity Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by brother, Bob. Survivors: wife, Betty, a homemaker and former teacher; daughters and sons-in-law, Kerrie and Glenn Mies of Wichita and Susan and Jeff Chilcoat of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Susan Dwyer, of Loveland, CO; grandsons, Brody Mies and Malcolm Chilcoat. Memorial established with Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2258 N. Marigold, Wichita, Kansas 67204. Bill was a strong Christian and followed the Christian way of life. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather (“Ah Pa” to Brody and “Pa Pa” to Malcolm). He was always quick with a smile and loved to laugh and joke. He was an avid student of history, the Civil War and the genealogy of his family. Bill had the ability to fix anything and was quick to help a friend or neighbor with a project or repair. He had a great love for flying and volunteered at the El Dorado airport for many years. He will be greatly missed and he will forever be in our hearts.

Bill was a wonderful, joyful, gentle man who always had a smile on his face. He was always willing to help others and his help was appreciated. He was a friend to many in the aviation business. My thoughts and prayers are with the family through this difficult time. God Bless You!
