  1. I have fond memories of my Uncle Bill. We used to go to Lake Carl Blackwell outside of Braman, OK. Spent time in the lake cabins and swimming with my Uncle Bill and my Aunt Dortha most weekends when I was small. My mom (Marjorie Nell) told me stories of things her and Bill would do growing up. He took my grandpa’s car without permission, they would tip over outhouses at Halloween and take cooling fruit pies from a window sill. He did get spanked by my grandpa with a razor strap and I still remember seeing that strap hanging in my grandparents house. I will treasure my memories of Bill and hope he will rest in peace and say hi to my mom when he sees her in Heaven. Adonna Irons Glover, Bill’s niece from Ponca City, OK.

  2. Fair winds and following seas sailor. “Boatswain… Standby to pipe the side… Shipmate’s going Ashore…” Thank you William for your service to this nation. U.S. Navy.
