Polan, William E. “Bill”, age 77, retired gas serviceman, died Monday, December 17, 2007. Rosary, 7:00 P.M., Thursday, December 20; service, 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 21, both at Christ The King Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Catherine (Bunck) Polan; wife, Carole (Roberts) Polan; sisters, Sister Cecilia Polan, ASC, and Catherine Kerschen; brothers, Thomas and Herman Polan. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ken Winder of Cheney; granddaughter, Kara Hodge; sisters, Mary Lubbers and Bernadine Berning of Wichita, Virginia Baker of Haddam, Pat Orth of Andale; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial established with Christ The King Catholic Church, 4411 W. Maple, Wichita, KS 67209. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
