Dear Ken & Family Please accept my heartfelt condolences and sympathy in the loss of your Dad. Unfortunately, I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, Thursday @ the time of the funeral service, but rest assured that you will be in my thoughts & prayers Here is a copy of a poem that was comforting to me @ times of loss and I hope you’ll find it comforting too. Sincerely, Bert To Those I Love And To Those Who Love me Author Unknown When I am gone, release me, let me go- I have so many things to see and do. You mustnt tie yourself to me with tears, Be Happy that we had so many wonderful years. I gave to you my love. You can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now its time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust. Its only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I wont be far away, for life goes on, So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you cant see or touch me, Ill be near And if you listen with your heart, youll hear All my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, Ill greet you with a smile and say, ‘Welcome Home’
