William James Bill Draut

Draut, William James “Bill”, 92, retired Drivers Ed Teacher and Coach, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. Bill was a two sport athlete, football and basketball, for his beloved WSU Shockers. He played baseball for Colorado State and received a try-out letter from the Brooklyn Dodgers. Rosary is 6:00 pm Tuesday at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary and Funeral Mass is 10:00 am Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Pauline, children; Debbie (Marc) Vincent, Michael (Carrie) Draut, Dan (Kelly) Draut all of Wichita; sisters, Mary Rose Luedtke of Laguna Hills, CA, Jo Anna Newberry of Columbus, OH, Pat Draut, of New Burn, NC, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial has been established with the Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization, Wichita State University, 1845 Fairmont, Wichita, KS 67260-0018 and Alzheimers Association, 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214.
