William R. Pracht

William R. Pracht, 91, passed away January 29, 2017. He was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Louis J. Pracht, Sr. and Jennie Bunbury Malone. William was a graduate of Cathedral High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1943, and was a combat crew member on the B-17 and B-29 bombers. William married June O. Ulsenheimer at St. Michael Catholic Church in Independence, Ohio, and later graduated from Wichita University with a degree in Geology. He was a lifelong member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Rosary, 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 1; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Thursday, February 2, both at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. William was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62+ years, June; siblings, Lucille Carlson, Louis J. Pracht Jr., Paul E. Pracht, Mary Jane Lambertz, and grandson, Michael Howard Pracht. He is survived by children, William Michael of Conway Springs, Margaret, Mark (Carole), John (Gail), Robert (Karen) and Jennie (Michael) Githens) all of Wichita; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
