Eleanor Louise Bell

Eleanor Louise Bell, passed away April 9, 2016. She was born and raised in Kingman, Kansas. Eleanor worked as a teller for the 1st National Bank of Kingman for 10 years, as City Treasurer of Kingman for 10 years, and was a housewife for the remaining years of her life. She married Bill Bell in 1949. Eleanor was a member of the Kingman Presbyterian Church, Professional Business Women and was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Della Chapter #172 of Kingman. She was an animal lover, enjoyed crafts, sewing and shopping. She returned to her hometown of Kingman in 2006, and has been cared for by her deceased sisters niece, Joan Bryan, for many years. Preceding Eleanor in death were her husband, Bill Bell; sister, Jeanne Shrum, and brother-in-law, Raymond Shrum. Survivors include, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Morris and Margaret Martin of Owasso, OK; a nephew and several nieces, and caregiver, Joan Bryan of Kingman. Eleanor requested there would be no funeral or memorials. Cremation has taken place. At a later date, her ashes will be laid to rest, along with her husbands in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman.
