Memorial Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 13, 2006, St. Albans Episcopal Church. Survivors: wife, Carolyn of the home; daughters, Brandy Standifer (Darla) of Bel Aire, KS, Dawn Ramey (Brad) of Andover, KS, Dina Collins (Tim) of Augusta, KS and Lisa Mentzer (Lovell) of Chillicothe, MO; sisters, Shirley Nelson (Larry) and Barbara Carroll (Phillip) all of Anthony, KS; brother, Gary Standifer of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Blake, Logan, Brent, Lauren, Nick, Dylan Dyson; A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS, 66601-9865.

My deepest condolences to the family. I worked for Sonny for several years at Woody’s in Yates Center, and he had a great sense of humor.
Brandy, and Carolyn, I was so sorry to hear about Sonny. I just want you both to know we miss you and you are in our prayers. This is just about as tough as it gets and you have our deepest sympathy.

Many people come and go through our lives. Some are quickly forgotten and some you will never forget…Sonny Standifer is one I will never forget. He was a truly wonderful person. My thoughts are with Carolyn and his entire family during this time of loss and sorrow. My deepest sympathy.
