Morgan, Bernice Marlene Luckey, 81, Longtime Wichita resident passed away on November 11, 2014, from a sudden illness. Bernie, as she was known to family and friends, was born July 31, 1933, in Glen Elder, Kansas, to Florence and Weldon Luckey. She committed her life to serving God and caring for others, spending many years as a registered nurse and dedicating a great deal of time volunteering at her church and working for the Wichita Red Cross. She was a gifted seamstress and cook; family and friends were often the welcome recipients of her famously irresistible cinnamon rolls. Bernie was a talented pianist and choir singer, and music was always an important part of her life and a passion she passed on to all of her children. Bernie was the gentle center of gravity for a large and loving family; a beloved friend, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nola Sandlin; brother, Lawrence Luckey; and her husband, Robert M. Morgan. She is survived by three siblings - sister, Lois Woods, brothers, Weldon and Francis Luckey; and her five children, Gayle E. (Jon) Weisbecker, Dayle E. (Wesley) Johnson, Robert M. (Julie) Morgan, Mitchell A. (Jenny) Morgan and Brenda F. (Tony) Cavallaro. She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Bernie will be remembered always for her warm, beautiful spirit; she was a giver of guidance, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, and a source of unyielding faith and compassion.
