Naomi Johnson French

Naomi Johnson French, 71, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. A celebration of her life will be held on August 2, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Wichita Country Club, 8501 East 13th Street, North, Wichita, KS. Naomi was the loving mother of Chelsea (Kevin Putman) French, Alexis (Dr. Marcus) Kater, and James French all of Wichita, and Cody French of Georgetown, CO. Her marriage to Dr. Jerome French ended in divorce. Naomi was an accomplished cook, bridge player, and athlete. She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Florida. A gracious hostess, Naomi was well known for her generous disposition, conversation, cooking and hospitality. She is survived by her four children, eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marellen Aherne of Shepherdstown, WV.
