Maxine Eloise (Gibbons) Clark

Maxine Eloise (Gibbons) Clark, 95, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. Maxine was born in Atlantic, Iowa, to Willey and Jennie (Kirk) Gibbons. The family moved to a farm in Howard, Kansas, in 1925. After graduating high school in 1937, Maxine attended American Business College in Wichita. She later met Roy Glen Clark and they married in 1939. Maxine worked at Beech Aircraft during World War II and then for over 20 years as a secretary at both South Hillside and Sowers Elementary Schools. Following retirement, the couple spent 31 years in Bella Vista, Arkansas, where Maxine enjoyed volunteering as a librarian at Bella Vista Library and the Concordia Library. She returned to Wichita to be near family in May of 2012. She was preceded in death by husband, Roy; sister, Evelyn (Gibbons) Schul, and grandson, Kirk McNulty. Survivors: daughters, Cheryl Elaine McNulty of Redondo Beach, CA and Kimberley Agnew (Brad) of Goddard; son, Robert Clark (Toni Miles) of Telluride, CO; grandchildren, Remee, Rhett and Clark McNulty, Seth Clark, Bryce, Chad and Drew Agnew, as well as 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, January 15 at Avita Senior Living in Wichita. A graveside service will be held, 9 a.m., Friday, January 16, at Bella Vista Memorial Gardens, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Memorials established with Alzheimers Association, 1820 E.
