Frank Reverend Hay

Hay, Reverend Frank, 97, passed from this life to eternal life on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. The Vigil Service will be 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 13 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 14, both at St. Elizabeth Chapel, Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire, KS. Father Hay was born on May 16, 1911 in Brooklyn, NY. He received his seminary training at St. Meinrad Seminary, St. Meinrad, IN and was ordained at the seminary on May 26, 1942. Father served in the parishes of Blessed Sacrament in Wichita, St. Joseph in Yates Center, Immaculate Conception in Owl Creek, St. Martin in Piqua, St. Joseph in Humboldt, St. Jude in Wichita and Sacred Heart in Eureka. Father retired from active ministry on June 1, 1975, He was residing at the Priest Retirement Center at the time of his death. A memorial has been established with St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund, c/o 424 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
