Edna Mae Girrens

Edna Mae C. (Lorg) Girrens, 82, farm wife, homemaker and Resource Room volunteer for St. Peter the Apostle and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Schools, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013. Rosary will be 7 pm, Wednesday, January 9, with Mass of Christian Burial, 10 am, Thursday, January 10, both at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, in Schulte, KS. Edna Mae was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Girrens; parents, Leo and Rosa Zandler Lorg; foster parents, Charles and Emelia Zandler Gillespie; and sister, Leona Stuhlsatz. She is survived by children, Mary Lou Voegeli, of Clearwater, FL; Daniel (Pamela) Girrens, of Goddard; Raymond (Debra) Girrens, of Wichita; Judy Benck, of Winfield; Cheryl (Mark) Schock, of Rose Hill; Evelyn (Glenn) Jackson, of Wichita; Diane (Mathias) Gorges, of Boswell, OK; Theresa Merck, of Rose Hill; James Girrens, of Viola, KS; brother, Leo (Patricia) Lorg, of Wichita; sisters, Florence Carter, of Phoenix, AZ and Vera Mannebach, of Palm Springs, CA, 29 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
