Thornton, Lawrence Fred “Larry”, 76, retired Beech Aircraft Avionics Engineer, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006. Memorial service 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 17, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Larry was a PGA Golf Professional, a pilot, and was involved with Junior Golf. Survivors: wife, Judy (Rogers) Thornton; son, Phillip Thornton (Vicki) of Cottonwood Falls, KS; daughters, Kim Gould (Ron) of Kailua, Oahu, HI and Melissa Taylor (Curtis) of Apache Junction, AZ; step-sons, Jeff Williams of Kansas City, KS and Tony Williams (Lisa) of Wichita; step-daughter, Gina Williams (Glenn Crosby) of Derby, KS; 7 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with the Junior Golf Foundation, c/o Marge Page, 58 Via Verde, Wichita, KS, 67230 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202.
