Jean Taylor Levand

Levand, Jean Taylor, died January 6, 2014. Our beautiful mother, Jean Taylor Levand, passed away at her home at Larksfield Place Retirement Community, in Wichita, Kansas. Roberta Jean Taylor Levand was born on Leap Year Day, 1932, to Edna Hall Taylor and Percy E. Taylor. She attended Sunnyside Elementary, Robinson Jr. High and East High School. She also attended the University of Kansas and Wichita State University. Jean was a Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Kansas. She married Robert Beuke in June of 1952. Together they had children: Briana Beuke and Bradford Beuke. Jean was a young, active mother and was involved with her childrens activities. She was a member of Junior League of Wichita and later of Kansas City. She was a devout Episcopalian. In 1973, Jean married Elliott A. Levand. They were happily married for 18 years until Elliotts death. In 1991, Jean moved to Kansas City to live near her Kansas City kids. She recently moved back to her hometown. Jean is survived by her daughter, Briana Diane Beuke and son, Brad Taylor Beuke; son-in-law Marc Salle; and her grandchildren, Taylor Beuke Salle, Nora Beuke Salle and Tanner Ryan Beuke. She is also survived by her cousin Kay Lancaster Argie. Funeral Service will be at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. No flowers, please.
