Mary Pat Tims

Tims, Mary Pat, 82, loving mother and grandmother, entered eternal life April 13, 2013. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Graveside service 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Parsons, Kansas. Born the only child of Charles and Mary Jayne Dobel, Mary Pat was married to Harry E. Tims on September 13, 1952. They enjoyed 26 years of marriage before his death in 1978. Mary Pat was a registered nurse at the Parsons State Hospital for 35 years. Relocating to Wichita in 1992, she became an active member of Blessed Sacrament parish and worked to promote respect for all human life. She also had a special love for animals, especially her little dog, Gracee. She gave herself generously to her adopted children who survive her: Jennifer (Dan) Hickerson, Wichita, Chris Tims, Wichita, and Mary Jean (Robert) Glaser, Derby; grandchildren, Quinn Glaser, Melanie (Nick) Davison, Christine (Kelby) Umbehr; John, L CPL - USMC Scott, Anne, Joseph, and Jude Hickerson; and great-grandchildren Max and Zelie Umbehr, and Melanie and Nicks soon to be born son. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N Roosevelt Ave, Wichita, KS 67208, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Kansans for Life, 2501 E.
