Jabara, Jr., John, 83, retired grocery and business man, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008. Service 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 20, St. Stephens Episcopal Church. John was a 50 year member of the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine and brother, Col. James Jabara. John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Jabara; son, Brad (Anna) Jabara; daughters, Dana (Gordon) Dean and Jacqueline Jabara; grandchildren, James (Krissy) Kauffman, J. B. Jabara, Matt (Joyce) Jabara, Christina Dean and Rebecca Dean; 4 great-grandchildren, brother, George (Betty) Jabara; sisters, Ester Jabara and Norma Ellis. Memorials to: Kansas Humane Society, 4210 SE Blvd., Wichita KS 67210. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

grandpa, you are very loved and very missed. you have taught us all a lot, and instilled some great values in us. we all owe our work ethic to you and dad. you have so many friends, and loved ones. i know that there are some sayings that we will never forget. ‘a place for everything and everything in its place; cant spend it and have it; and a penny saved is a penny earned’ we love and miss you very much. i am glad that you are in a better place, and no longer in any pain. we love you sir.
