Evelyn JoAn Dilts. “Dearest baby, please know that our greatest blessing was having you.” Evelyn JoAn Dilts passed away in the loving arms of her parents on July 29, 2014. Due to her many health issues, Evelyn was born at Childrens Mercy Hospital and Clinics on August 5, 2012. Her short life was a blessing to all those who met her and was full of love and laughter. She is survived by her parents, Derek and Reba Dilts; grandparents, David and Diane Meyers and Gwena Dilts; her great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim Dilts. Visitation with the family, 1:30 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., both Saturday, August 2, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Evelyn Dilts Fund, c/o Great American Bank, 33050 W. 83rd Street, De Soto, KS 66018. At the request of her parents, please wear bright colors for the service.
