Maria Delfina Tejeda

Tejeda, Maria Delfina, 86, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died Monday, November 16, 2009. Rosary is 7:00 pm Thursday at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary and Funeral is 10:30 am Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church both will be conducted by longtime family friend, Father Michael Peltzer. Mrs. Tejeda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess L. Tejeda, a United States Army veteran, and an engineer with Boeing Aerospace, her parents Anastacio and Francisca Arguelles of Eureka, KS. She is survived by two sons; Ron (Linda) Tejeda of Montgomery, AL, Charles (Norma) Tejeda of Summerville, SC; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandsons; two step-great-grandchildren; seven sisters and two brothers; Mary (Ray) Ortiz of KS, Pat Walker of TX, Judy Arguelles, Pauline Arguelles, Donna (Pete) Escareno, Connie (Marcial) Murillo, Irene Bonilla, Celso (Alice) Arguelles, Raymond Arguelles all of KS and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Parkview Adult Day Health Services (the Johnni Carr Center), 1625 Lake Street, Montgomery, AL 36106 and Southern Union State Community College, Student Nursing Program, 1701 LaFayette Parkway, Opelika, AL 36801.
