Beilman, Eleanor (Dreher), 94, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Wichita. She was born to Roney and Pauline Dreher in Greeley, Colorado on October 9, 1913, and was raised in Ellis and Russell County, Kansas. She and her future husband, Emil, met in Hays and were later married, April 24, 1934. They lived in Wichita for most of their 73 years of marriage. During that time they worked in the aircraft industry and eventually opened their own sundries store. They raised 5 children of their own and later became foster parents to 3 young Cuban boys who still call her “mom.” Throughout Eleanors life her family and faith were of utmost importance to her. She enjoyed hosting large family gatherings and was always very involved in her parish. She loved working in her flower garden and helping her husband with their large vegetable garden. Preceded in death by parents, 6 siblings, and husband, Emil. Survivors: children and their spouses: Vern (wife, Teresa, deceased) of Wichita, Don and Shelly of Edwardsville, Dan and Patty of St. Charles, MO, Bernice and Gary Adamson of Wichita, Tom and Sue of Spring Hill; foster sons, Jose, Freddie, and Juan Gonzalez; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren. Rosary and Eulogy, 7:00 P.M., Sunday, April 20; Funeral Mass, 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 21, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N.
