Patricia Ruth Ramsey
June 30, 1932 ~ January 10, 2012
Ramsey, Patricia Ruth of Montgomery, Texas suddenly passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. She was born on June 30, 1932 to Glenn and Grace Brown. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Pat met her husband, Richard Atherly Ramsey, in Wichita after he was discharged from the army. They were married for 57 years, and together they had 2 sons and 1 daughter. Pat and Dick lived and raised their family in a number of towns and cities across the country. She was an active member of the Chi Omega sorority chapter after her college years. Pat loved playing bridge, golf and the piano. Most of all, Pat enjoyed the sport of shopping with her daughter, Sandy and granddaughter Haley whom she loved to spoil. Once married, Pat and Dick would spend the next 57 years enjoying their homes in Bartlesville, OK, Wichita, KS, Kansas City, MO, Orlando, FL, Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, Phoenix, AZ/Durango, CO, Austin, TX and Dallas, TX only to come semi-full circle back to Houston in late 2011. Moving to so many new places blessed them with many new friends along the way. Those left to cherish Pats memory are her husband Dick Ramsey, her children: Ronald Ramsey and wife Mary of Bronxville, NY, Gregory Ramsey and wife Cathy of Edmond, OK, Sandra Hale of Dallas, TX and her granddaughter, Haley Sonnier of New York, NY. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Brown of Durango, CO. She was predeceased by her brother, Glenn Brown Jr. Family, friends and others whose lives Pat touched are invited to the Downing and Lahey Mortuary, 6555 East Central Ave., Wichita, KS, 1:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2012. Interment will follow at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita, KS. Tributes may be sent to the family via www.dlwichita.com

I am praying for you Uncle Dick, Ron, Greg and Sandy and your families, that the Lord will make His presence known and will bring you comfort. Dick and Pat were a great comfort to me when Dad passed away and I will treasure my memories of her laugh and her grace. In deepest sympathy and love,
