Betty Newman

Betty Newman, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away January 10, 2014. Betty, a retired registered nurse, focused her life around her faith, music, sports, friends and family. She enjoyed seeing smiling faces when playing piano at local nursing homes. Betty played a mean game of tennis in her time and was always ready for a bridge match. Proceeded in death by Husband: Kenneth F. Newman; Survivors: Son: Craig (Becky) Newman of Federal Way, WA; Daughter: Linda Newman of Gilbert AZ; Sister: Marjorie (John J.) Riisoe of Kinsley, KS; Grandchildren Josh, Kenneth and Luke Newman. Services 10am Thursday Downing Lahey East; 3pm Hillside Cemetery Kinsley, KS.
