Bonnie D. Lohrentz, 93, specialist in love and healing, passed away, Saturday, November 19, 2016. She was active in her church at West Heights United Methodist since 1960, served as a Wesley Hospital Chaplain, graduated from Bethany College with a degree in voice and retired as a stress management and relaxation consultant specializing in biofeedback. Bonnie was also involved in the development of the first hospice in Wichita which is now known as Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Visitation, 6-8 pm, Wednesday, November 30, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Memorial Service, 10:30 am, Thursday, December 1, West Heights United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Walter W. Lohrentz; son, Scott J.A. Lohrentz; parents, Joe and Ina Burk. Survived by daughter, Sherie (Mark) Butler; grandson, Matthew Butler. Memorials established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 and West Heights United Methodist Church, 745 N. Westlink, Wichita, KS 67212.
