Edwards, Doris, 77, loving wife, grandmother and mother, retired Multiple Sclerosis Kansas District Director, died Thursday, January 13, 2005. Visitation 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M., Sunday, service 10:00 A.M., Monday, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by daughter, Erie Christine Nelson and sisters, Virginia Lechner and Carol Holt. Survivors: husband of 58 years, Jim W.; brother, John Bernard of Portland, OR; grandsons, James Nelson and Robbie Nelson, both of Tucson, AZ; nephews, Mike Main of Salina, KS, James Main of Newton, KS and Rick Timsah of Augusta, KS; nieces, Linda Bledsoe, Erie Houltberg and Janis Wearing, all of Salina, KS. A memorial has been established with Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke, Wichita, KS, 67208.

Jim, I was really sorry to learn of Doris’ passing. She really did a lot of work for the MS Society. Delbert really valued her friendship. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
