Lois Jean Watkins (Elavsky) Sutherland

Sutherland, Lois Jean Watkins (Elavsky), was born August 1, 1928 in Oilton, OK, she passed away April 20, 2014. “The heads of strong old age are beautiful. Beyond all grace of youth.” - Robinson Jeffers. She was one of seven children. Lois had a love of singing, piano, and the St. Louis Cardinals. She would attend OBU. Lois was a devoted mother, a helping sister, a kind aunt, a dutiful wife, a thoughtful caregiver and “one darn good” secretary. She passed peacefully on April 20, 2014. Lois is survived by her daughter, Alicia Holzmeister (Kirk); her sister, Wanda Bridges (Jack); and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at East Heights United Methodist Church, Wichita, KS.
