Ruth K. (Carlson) Pearson

Ruth K. (Carlson) Pearson, 101, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Ruth graduated from Emporia State Teachers College with a teaching certificate. She went on to teach school at Pleasant Valley Rural School and Cheney High School in Cheney, KS. She was also a retired owner of Carlsons Food Market. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016; Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm, all at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her two Husbands, Wayne “Pud” Carlson, John S. Pearson; Brother, Lloyd Sponenberg; Sisters, Pauline Rosenhagen, Jennie Marie Wulf; Parents, Clark and Jennie Sponenberg; Step-Daughter, Linnea H. Pearson. Survived by her Step-Sons, John K. (Sue) Pearson, Scott G. (Pam) Pearson; Step-Daughter, Kristine A. (David) Bohlig-Suter; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
