Leon R. "Cowboy" Salsman, 85, was born in Beaver County, Oklahoma on August 22, 1930, and passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Leon served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He loved farming and was an avid golfer. Visitation with the family, 4-6 p.m., Saturday, August 13, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral service, 1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 14, Faith Christian Church. Survivors include companion, Beverly Cartee; daughters, Teresa Craig (Art), Tina Evans (Bill) and Kimberly Tafoya (Bob); grandchildren, Christy Craig (David Higgins), Sarah Craig, Tim Craig, Jarrod Tafoya (Chelsea), Chris Tafoya, Zachary Evans, Mariah Evans; great-granddaughter, Bobby Tafoya; sisters, Norena Walker, Elaine Girdner; special cousin, Jay Bennett (Jimmie) of Beaver County, OK, and a host of friends and fellow golfers.
