Lawrence B. Ahne

Ahne, Lawrence B., 92, died Thursday, January 15, 2015. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Chapel - Catholic Care Center. Preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ahne. Survived by his brother, John Ahne; his niece, Barb (Jay) Fowler; great-nieces, Kelsey Fowler, Kelly Ahne; great-nephew, Michael Fowler, all of Wichita; sisters, Stella Koch of Scranton, AR, Ann Bradley of Conway, AR; numerous family members in Arkansas. A US Army combat veteran of WWII with service in North Africa and Italy in the 351st Infantry. Lawrence received multiple Purple Heart medals and other commendations. Following the war, he operated and owned a concrete construction business in Wichita for many years. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Alzheimers Association, Central Western Kansas, 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
