L. Merlene Weaver

Weaver, L. Merlene, 75, retired civil service clerk of the Department of the Army, died Thursday, August 11, 2005. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin Goldie Venable, and by a brother, Larry E. Venable. Survivors, husband, Orvan; sons David and Mark, both of Wichita; brothers, Darell “Bud” Venable, of Pawnee, OK., and Bucky Venable, of Hominy, OK; sisters, Carolyn Loveall, of Tulsa, OK., and Judy Harding, of Stillwater, OK. A memorial has been established with the University Of Kansas Medical School, 3901 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, Kansas, 66160-7400.
